ABOUT
Xevious is a scrolling shooting game from Namco, designed by Masanobu Endo. You fly a ship called the Solvalou over forests, rivers and roads, firing at enemies in the air and dropping bombs on targets on the ground.
Unlike most shooters of its time, it had a background story and hidden secrets, such as invisible bonus items that appear only if you bomb the right spot. Players traded tips about these secrets, and the Famicom (NES) version released in 1984 also became a big hit in Japan.
