ABOUT
Pac-Man is an arcade game from Namco, designed by Toru Iwatani. You guide a round yellow character through a maze, eating every dot while four colorful ghosts chase you. Eating a large power pellet turns the tables for a few seconds, and the ghosts start running away from you.
In Japan it first appeared in game centers (arcades) in 1980 under the name "Puckman". Its simple controls and cute characters drew in people who had never played a video game before, and Pac-Man became one of the first game characters known all over the world.
