How we create content

Rankings (manga, music, film) are compiled from public data sources such as Rakuten Books, Apple Music and TMDB, then reviewed and summarised by our team. News summaries are based on public news feeds, and weather data comes from a third-party forecast API. Cultural notes, city guides and how-to articles are written by us from personal experience and published references.

Accuracy & updates

We aim to keep information current, but rules and figures change — especially for visas, immigration, taxes and public safety. Treat those pages as a starting point, not legal or official advice, and always confirm details with the relevant official source (immigration bureau, embassy, or an official government or tourism site) before acting. Found a mistake? Email us and we will correct it promptly.

Independence & affiliate links

J-Pedia is independent and not sponsored by any company or organisation. Some outbound links (for example to online bookstores) may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings, selections or opinions. See How We Make Money for the full list of partners.
