ABOUT
Pro Yakyu Family Stadium, often shortened to "Famista", is a baseball game from Namco for the Famicom. "Pro yakyu" means professional baseball in Japanese. The teams were modeled on Japan's professional baseball clubs, and there was even a team made up of Namco's own game characters.
It was easy to pick up and great fun for two players on the same TV, so it was a common sight at friends' homes. Baseball is one of the most popular sports in Japan, and Famista grew into a long-running series of baseball games.
