ABOUT
The Legend of Zelda is an action-adventure game from Nintendo, created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. In Japan it came out on the same day as the Famicom Disk System, an add-on that used rewritable disks. You play as Link, exploring the land of Hyrule with a sword and shield to collect the pieces of the Triforce and rescue Princess Zelda.
Instead of following a fixed path, you are free to wander, find hidden caves and choose which dungeon to try next. Because the disk could save your progress, it was also one of the first home console games you could stop and continue later. The series is still going today.
