ABOUT
Street Fighter II is a one-on-one fighting game from Capcom, a company based in Osaka. You choose one of eight fighters from around the world, such as Ryu from Japan and Chun-Li from China, each with special moves performed by moving the joystick and pressing buttons in the right order.
It did not draw much attention right after its release, but the fun of fighting another person spread quickly, and game centers across Japan filled with players. The Super Famicom version from 1992 was also a big hit, and the game laid the foundation for the fighting games played today.
