ABOUT
New Super Mario Bros. was the first new side-scrolling Mario game in many years, made for the Nintendo DS. It returns to the classic style of running and jumping from left to right, and adds new power-ups like the Mega Mushroom, which makes Mario huge, and the Mini Mushroom, which makes him tiny.
Its familiar style welcomed back players who had grown up with the Famicom, as well as newcomers. It became one of the best-selling DS games in Japan and started the "New" series of 2D Mario games.
