ABOUT
Monster Hunter Rise is a Monster Hunter game made by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch. It is set in Kamura Village, which is inspired by old Japan, and many of its new monsters are based on yokai from Japanese folklore. A tool called the Wirebug lets you swing through the air like a ninja, and you can ride a dog-like Palamute across the map.
Faster movement and shorter hunts made it easy to play in short sessions or on the go. It became a big hit in Japan, and a large expansion, Sunbreak, followed in 2022.
