About
Life's hard when you're shy, harder still when you move from your quiet hometown to the bustle of a big city and a new high school. Poor Alice also has to cope with being regularly harassed by the bratty neighbor boy, Rin. Her life turns upside-down when she's stuck babysitting Rin and the annoying chore ends in unexpected tragedy. What Alice doesn't realize is there could be a greater force at work than unhappy chance!
Character analysis
Alice discovers she's having identical dreams of a past life as a scientist on the moon alongside several other people she's never met, and piecing together who she, and everyone else, used to be reshapes her entire sense of identity in the present.
Rin is introduced as an annoying young neighbor before the story reveals he shares the same lunar past-life connection as Alice, a mismatch between his childish present-day self and his past-life identity that complicates their relationship considerably.
Shion exists primarily within the cast's shared past-life memories, and the harsh, manipulative nature associated with that identity casts a long shadow over how present-day characters relate to each other once they recover their memories.
Jinpachi is another member of the group experiencing the same shared dreams as Alice and Rin, his own present-day life complicated by memories of relationships and rivalries from a past he didn't know he had.
Status evaluation
Delicate, detailed character art suits the series' dreamy, melancholic reincarnation romance.
The shared-dream, past-life mystery structure is widely regarded as an ambitious, genre-blending classic of 80s shoujo.
This is a serious, melancholic romance with very little comic relief.
Reincarnation, lost memory, and tangled past-life relationships give the series real, sustained emotional weight.
Some past-life revelations carry real unease, though the tone stays romantic-drama rather than horror.
There is minimal violence in this series.
Dual past-life and present-day identities across a large cast require real, careful attention to follow.
This is a completed series. This figure has not been verified against a current source and should be treated as approximate.

“Seven strangers discovering they share the exact same recurring dream of a past life on the moon is one of the most ambitious hooks 80s shoujo ever attempted.”
