ABOUT

Japan's capital in the 8th century and the cradle of its Buddhist art and architecture. Nara Park, in the city center, is home to more than 1,000 tame sika deer that bow for crackers, and to Todai-ji, whose Great Buddha Hall is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world.
